Efforts to Reduce the Number of Trips to and From the Airport
Rideshare Programs
Employee rideshare programs reduce airport employee vehicle trips, provide participants with preferred parking incentives, and a guaranteed emergency ride home program. An employee transportation coordinator assists tenant employees with matching of rideshare partners.
Scheduled Public Transit
Yolo County Transportation District provides public transportations in a loop route between the airport and Sacramento, Yolo, and Solano counties. Hourly services running in each direction provide patrons and employees with convenient transit access to a large regional area.
Ground Transportation
Booths are located in each of the airport's terminals and staffed by employees who assist travelers in choosing vehicular options. To ensure a maximum number of riders per trip, commercial vans delay their departure for 15 minutes following first passenger boarding.
